It was a busy day at UEFA headquarters on Monday morning with a lot of interest from Scotland.
In the three draws, five Scottish Premiership teams discovered the next step in their group stage qualification journey ahead of the return to continental competition.
The Champions League draw involving Celtic and Rangers was the first, but Parkhead’s side were also involved in the Europa League third round draw.
They will face Midtjylland in the second round of UCL qualifying, but will fall into the second tier tournament if they lose to the Danes.
They now know they will have to defeat FK Jablonec in the third round if they are wrong.
Scottish Cup and Betfred Cup winners St Johnstone were also awarded a glamorous tie with Callum Davidson’s side against Galatasaray or PSV Eindhoven on their return to the European stage.
Hibs and Aberdeen enter the Europa Conference Premier League and know who they will face in the draw for the third qualifying round.
They have second-round draws to sail against Santa Coloma and BK Hacken, respectively, but much like UEFA, the next round draw will be done in advance.
Hibs has landed at Gżira United or Rijeka while the Dons are aiming for a meeting with Austria Wien or Breidablik.
