Airport wishes TNS good luck ahead of UEFA Europa Conference League fixture

LIVERPOOL Airport has wished New Saints FC good luck as they prepare for their UEFA Europa Conference League return leg against Viktoria Plzen this week.

The Saints left Liverpool airport for the Czech Republic on Wednesday ahead of their Thursday night game, where they can advance to the final qualifying round of the new competition avoiding a loss by two or more goals.

A tweet posted by Liverpool Airport ahead of their trip to Plzen read: “Good luck to Welsh league team TNS who traveled with British Airways to the Czech Republic from Liverpool today ahead of their UEFA Europa game. Conference League tomorrow night against Viktoria Plzen.

“Get the win, guys. ”

Anthony Limbrick’s side surprised the five-time Czech Premier League champions in Cardiff last week by taking a four-goal lead, thanks to a goal from Blaine Hudson and a hat-trick from Declan McManus.

But a late double from the guests at Cardiff cut the Welsh advantage in half ahead of the second leg.

Avoiding a loss of two or more goals would allow TNS to advance to the next qualifying round, where teams such as Tottenham Hotspur and Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma will compete.
