Europa Conference League draw date, time, TV details and who Leicester City could face

This is not the competition Leicester City had hoped to be in at this point in the season – but they will now look to go as far as possible in the Europa Conference League.

A 3-2 loss to Napoli, coupled with Spartak Moscow’s 1-0 win over Legia Warsaw, meant City finished third in Europa League Group C and fell in the Conference League.

City will be one of eight unranked teams and face a seeded team to advance to the final 16 of the tournament.

The Europa Conference League winners are automatically given a place in the Europa League next season, which could serve as motivation for City, given their mixed start to the season.

It won’t be long before City find out who they’ll face in the play-off, so here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming draw …

When is the draw?

The UEFA Europa Conference League play-off draw will take place on Monday 13 December 2021 at UEFA headquarters in Switzerland.

The raffle ceremony begins at 1 p.m. UK time.

How can I watch the draw?

As it stands, the draw is not being broadcast live on TV, but the draw is broadcast live on the UEFA website.

You can also follow the draw via a live blog at LeicestershireLive.

Who could City face?

City will face one of seven teams in the play-off stage, with possible opponents being the finalists in the group stage of the Europa Conference Conference.

Bodo / Glimt, Quarabag, Randers, Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Partizan Belgrade, Slavia Prague and PAOK are City’s possible opponents.

The postponement of Tottenham’s game against Rennes cast doubt on Spurs or Vitesse’s ability to qualify.

If Tottenham were successful, City would not be able to attract Antonio Conte’s side at this point in the competition.

When will the play-offs take place?

The games are played over two sets, with City starting at home in the first leg.

This is scheduled for Thursday, February 17, with the first leg taking place a week later.
