Jose Mourinho has achieved six wins in his opening six appearances as Roma coach as the Italian side beat CSKA Sofia 5-1 in their Europa League group stage opener Thursday evening.

Serie A leaders scored for the Bulgarian club when Irish midfielder Graham Carey scored in the 10th minute.

But they fought back with force with goals from Lorenzo Pellegrini and Stephan El Sharaawy before the break.

Germany’s Union Berlin lost 3-1 to Slavia Prague on their European debut after playing the entire second half with 10 men.

Gibraltar had their first team in a European group stage as Lincoln Red Imps lost 2-0 at home to Greeks PAOK.
