Tottenham will face a new competition in the 2021/22 season after finishing seventh in the last Premier League campaign.
Missing a Champions League spot for the second year in a row afterwards and also not doing enough to ensure Europa League football, Spurs will instead have to settle for playing in the Europa Conference League.
UEFA’s third club competition isn’t exactly the most glamorous tournament out there, but it features European football and it’s a must-see for Spurs looking to win some silverware.
As neither team qualifies directly for the group stage, Tottenham will enter the play-offs in August and face a two-end tie for being one of 32 teams involved in the groups.

As is the case with Europa League football, the new competition takes place on a Thursday night and that means Spurs will face a lot of football again on Sunday throughout the 2021/22 campaign, provided of course that they qualify for the group stage.
Managers have complained in the past about their Premier League games after European games due to the quick turnaround and the new Spurs boss is sure to have some tough games on the agenda after their Europa Conference League outings.

Tottenham will face some very tough away games after the Europa League games if they reach the last 16.
Potentially forced to play a knockout game in February if they finish second in the group stage, Spurs will then have to travel to Man City and Leeds United straight after their European games.
A trip to Manchester United and a home game against West Ham follow after the round of 16 in March, with the squad having players like Aston Villa and Brighton on the agenda if they advance to the quarter-finals.
