Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is confident his side have what it takes to WIN the new UEFA Europa Conference League.
The Hoops will take part in the qualifiers for UEFA’s third-tier competition – introduced this season – on Thursday night as they host Bodo/Glimt at Parkhead.
It’s the first leg of their clash with the Norwegian champions – and the Celts could hardly go into the game in better shape.
Premier Sports Cup winners, Premiership leaders and those blowing their way the most at the moment have the vibe around Celtic Park right now.
And former Australian gaffer Postecoglou aims to take them to new heights as he aims to go all the way in the Conference League.
The Hoops boss says bringing the Socceroos to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil thinking they could win the prize gives him the belief he can achieve anything in the dugout.
“I want to go further in every competition,” he said.
“I have never participated in anything without thinking about trying to succeed in it.
“I took Australia to a world Cup and I thought I could win it. I know people will say I’m ridiculous, but that’s how I’m made up.
“You get into something and do your best to succeed, that’s what we will do in Europe. We are there and we want to succeed there.
“That’s what we’re going to try to do. I don’t neglect this competition.
“I want us to play well there and win because it adds to the prestige and history of this football club.”
