How does West Ham arrive?

The Hammers have kicked off the 2022-23 Premier League season with the best intentions of battling for places in international tournaments. RFS vs Hearts live stream: How to watch the Europa Conference League from anywhere in the world

RFS vs Hearts live stream, Thursday, September 15, 8 p.m.

Hearts (opens in a new tab) suffered a difficult return to Europe last week, suffering a 4-0 home loss to Istanbul Basaksehir.

The excitement of the Tynecastle crowd was quickly replaced by trepidation as the visitors dominated, securing a comfortable victory.

Captain Craig Gordon was powerless to contain the waves of attacks from the Turkish side, conceding three goals in the space of a devastating 15 minutes in the second half.

Hearts will be hoping for some respite against less well-endowed opponents this week, but Latvia’s two-time RFS winners are not to be taken lightly.

Despite only 24% possession away from Fiorentina (opens in a new tab)they started their own Europa Conference League campaign with an impressive 1-1 draw.

Antonin Barak put the Viola in front after the break but Andrej Ilic quickly equalized to secure a famous result on Italian soil.

Ahead of Thursday’s game, Robbie Neilson admitted Craig Halkett and Alan Forrest both face a race to be fit for selection.

The Jambos legend, who made over 200 appearances for the club as a player, will be looking for a response from his side after such a humiliating defeat last time out.

Classy playmaker Barrie Mackay and top scorer Lawrence Shankland, signed from Beerschot in July, will be tasked with unlocking a stubborn RFS defence.

They currently sit third in the Latvian Top League, seven points from first place, having lost just four games so far this season.

If you’re out of the country for a Europa League Conference game, unfortunately your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are thanks to your IP address (boo!). You won’t be able to watch it, which isn’t ideal if you’ve paid for a subscription and still want to follow the action without resorting to the illegal streams you’ve found on Reddit.

But help is at hand. To get around this, all you need to do is get a virtual private network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs.; A VPN creates a private connection between your device and the internet, which means the service can’t determine where you are and won’t automatically block the service you paid for. All information in between is fully encrypted – and that’s a result.

There are plenty of good-value options, including:

Stephen Bradley Calls On Shamrock Rovers To Emulate Conference League Opponents Gent And Become Group Stage Regulars

Stephen Bradley calls on Shamrock Rovers to emulate Conference League opponents Gent and become group stage regulars

0

Stephen Bradley wants his Shamrock Rovers side to follow the example of group stage regulars KAA Gent and ensure their presence at this stage of the UEFA competition is not a once-in-a-decade affair .

overs traveled to Belgium to face Ghent, a side who were unable to dominate domestically, a single league title in 2014/15, but are something of a force in Europe, with appearances in the later stages of the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League.

It’s only the second time he’s played in the group stages in Rovers’ history, and Bradley argues that for the club to really progress they need to make it an annual event.

“They are a club that have been very good in recent years in Europe. You see the level they have played at,” Bradley said of Ghent.

“We are in the group stage this year. The last time we were in the group stage was a long time ago (2011) and we don’t want that to happen again.

“We want this to become regular for this club and we want to continue to build and make the club bigger and stronger and everyone is working extremely hard to achieve this, the board, the players, the staff, the fans.

“I think we’re on the right track, but we have to keep working to make sure that happens regularly for us and we play in stadiums like this in games like this every year. It has to be our goal,” added Bradley.

Meanwhile, Gary O’Neill says the Hoops are relaxed about the task of facing the top seeds away from home as the pressure of trying to win until the next round has eased.

Rovers are in Belgium to face Ghent after starting the group campaign with a creditable 0-0 draw at home to Swedish side Djurgardens.

“I was in a room with Ronan Finn, we were talking about it, it’s a bit more relaxed this time around when it’s not Europa League qualification, when you have to change it from the first leg or hold on. a league or whatever, it’s a more relaxed feeling,” says O’Neill, a Kerry native.

“Obviously in this league we want to be competitive and those are the types of games you look forward to.

“I think we are in the group to be competitive. I think we showed last week that we will be competitive in this group. It’s not something I want to come in and say ‘that’s a bonus’ , we want to be really competitive,” added O’Neill, who denied away form in Europe would be a problem for the Hoops.

“Our home form has been very good over the last 12 months, be it in the Champions League, Europa League, Conference League and domestically, our form at home has been brilliant, our form away outside has been against us in Europe but it is not something that worries us too much,” he added.

Villarreal Beat Lech Poznan In Chaotic Conference League Opener

Villarreal beat Lech Poznan in chaotic Conference League opener

0

Villarreal edged out Lech Poznan in a chaotic Europa Conference League opener on Thursday night.

The Yellows presented a weakened side for their first European clash of the season, with Unai Emery clearly prioritizing La Liga this term.

And the changes showed up early on, with Poznan taking the lead through Michal Skoras within two minutes.

Not a starting idea for goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen, who made a rare start here.

It took Villarreal a while to get going at the Ciuitat de Valencia, but when they clinched gold through Samu Chukwueze, they went wild.

Alex Baena added two, with both goals coming in the space of four minutes, and Villarreal went from one to two within eight minutes of the equaliser.

Coquelin grabbed the winner
Photo by Manuel Queimadelos/Quality Sport Images/Getty Images

Things took another turn after the break when Ishak scored less than a minute into the restart, and he scored again just after the hour mark to level the score.

Emery then called on the likes of Kiko Femenia, Gerard Moreno, Yeremi Pino, Dani Parejo and the now trusted Nicolas Jackson, all within the first 20 minutes of the second half.

And the changes ended up paying, Francis Coquelin finding the winner one minute before the 90th mark.

A rather chaotic outing, but it’s still three points for Villarreal to kick off the Conference League campaign.

Most importantly, it continues an undefeated start to the season for Emery’s men.

FCSB is the successor of government club Steaua Bucharest which won the European Cup in 1986 under the communist regime of Nicolae Ceauşescu in Romania, but was taken over by a group of private shareholders in 1998. The club was then forced to change its name to FCSB. in 2017 due to an ongoing dispute with the sports club CSA Steaua București, which is still owned by the Ministry of National Defence, which claims that the football club is a new and separate entity.

None of this will particularly affect the Hammers as they look to build on a 6-1 aggregate win over Danish side Viborg in the qualifying round and David Moyes will target the Conference League as a winnable competition after reaching the Europa League semi-finals last. term.

For FCSB, left-back Ionuţ Panţîru, midfielder Adrian Șut, winger Andrei Dumiter, defender Iulian Cristea and defensive midfielder Ovidiu Popescu are all ruled out due to knee injuries. Andrea Compagno could keep his place ahead of Bogdan Rusu and Ianis Stoica after scoring in their last game.
